Lessons of life: Hayate no Gotoku

One of the most awesome things in manga is when an author inserts a drop of wisdom when you are not expecting it. I read this chapter of Hayate no Gotoku several weeks ago, but I just can’t forget it. In chapter 339, the lazy Nagi decides to skip school just cause it’s raining and goes back to the bed. Worried about that bad attitude, the diligent butler Hayate tries with no success to find a way to persuade her. Then the maid Maria comes to save the day and this is what she says:
